Matt Johnson, Trial Lawyer
Matt Johnson is a trial lawyer in Washington with more than 25 years of experience handling complex personal injury cases. His practice centers on wrongful death, nursing home abuse and neglect, catastrophic motor vehicle collisions, timber trespass, and insurance bad faith.
Matt has built a reputation as a relentless advocate for individuals and families facing life-altering tragedies. He has successfully represented clients who lost loved ones in wrongful death cases, held negligent facilities accountable in nursing home abuse and neglect lawsuits, and fought for survivors of catastrophic car and truck accidents. His ability to navigate high-stakes cases has resulted in significant recoveries that help clients rebuild their lives.
Over the course of his career, Matt has handled cases in nearly every county in Washington, including Thurston, Pierce, Mason, Grays Harbor, Lewis, and King. Before joining Ron Meyers & Associates, he worked at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office and served as staff counsel for one of the nation’s largest insurance companies. This experience gives him unique insight into insurance defense strategies, which he leverages to benefit his clients.
Matt’s work ethic was forged early—he worked as a Teamster while attending law school—and it continues to guide his approach today. He is dedicated to securing justice for his clients through settlements, mediations, and jury trials.
Outside the courtroom, Matt is married and enjoys spending time with his four children and four grandchildren.
